About the Book:
The current reading features a collection of fifteen folk tales passed down orally from generation to generation in Oman. The author, who grew up in Oman's southern province of Dhofar, compiled and transcribed these stories about princesses, peasants, genies, and talking animals. These traditional folk tales give readers of all ages a unique glimpse into Dhofari life, customs, and values.

The SQCC Book Club will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, 4 December, 2019 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 in the SQCC Library located at 1100 16th Street, N.W., Washington D.C. 20036The first meeting will include a guided group discussion of the selected stories: The Sly FoxThe Magic Ring, and The Prince and the Clever Maiden.
